While she has an undergraduate degree in nursing, and worked as an emergency room registered nurse, she decided to translate her passion for the western lifestyle and horses into a successful show and business career. Melanie founded Solo Select Horses in 2018. She started the Select Online Horse Sale in November 2020 which quickly grew to be the Leader in Online Sales Platforms, and the second-largest grossing Western Performance Horse Sale Company in North America.
